History of the Kyneton Magistrates’ Court

Completed in 1857 and having just undergone a major revamp, the Kyneton Magistrates’ Court, also known as the Kyneton Court House, is the earliest surviving courthouse in Victoria. 

Today, the Kyneton Court House hears a significant number of intervention orders and domestic violence and family cases, which prompted its recent upgrade to ensure the safety and security of its attendees.

It is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
